Questions we hear most
If yours isn't here, call or send a message. Please leave out medical details.
Do you take my insurance?
No. We are out of network with every plan, and we don't file claims. After each visit you get an itemized receipt to send to a plan that reimburses out-of-network care; the plan decides what it pays.
What if I don't have insurance?
You pay for the visit, or join the yearly plan for routine care. Either way you get the fee in writing before treatment.
Do you accept Medicaid or CHIP?
No. We are not enrolled with Medicaid or CHIP.
Will it hurt?
Most people feel pressure and some tenderness. We numb the area when it's needed, you can ask for a break any time, and we stop whenever you ask.
How often do I need X-rays and a cleaning?
Dr. Holbrook decides from your exam and your history. She tells you why before she takes X-rays.
What is a deep cleaning?
A longer cleaning of the tooth roots under the gums, usually over two visits, for gums that have pulled away. She'll show you why she suggests it.
Do you see children?
Yes. If your child is very young or nervous, call first so we can plan the visit, and stay with them throughout.
What counts as a dental emergency?
A broken or knocked-out tooth, a swelling or a toothache that won't quit. Call us. For trouble breathing or swallowing, call 911.
Do you offer sedation, and who gives it?
We use local numbing only. If you want sedation, we refer you to a dentist who is permitted to give it.
Can I get a written estimate before treatment?
Yes. You get one before any treatment, and nothing starts until you say yes.
Do you speak Spanish?
Yadira Saenz, our patient coordinator, speaks Spanish and English. This site is also in Spanish.
How do I change or cancel a visit?
Call or text us as early as you can. We hold your time, so the sooner we know, the sooner we can offer it to someone else.
Ask for a visit, and get the fee first
Send a request and Yadira will call or text you back with a time. Please leave out health details; for anything urgent, call us.
